During the second annual New York Law Enforcement Exposition, Brite-Strike Technologies, Inc. (OTC: BSTI) took advantage of the heralded opportunity to introduce their products to fellow law enforcement officials. The NY Times covered the event and found the company’s futuristic-looking flashlights particularly interesting among the other lighting products featured, which happened to be a large part of the exposition.
Brite-Strike Technologies was formed after two police officers had a conversation during their midnight shift in regards to how much they disliked the flashlight options that they were given. It was after that conversation that officer Jon Neal and Glenn Bushee began to construct plans on how they were going to devise a new kind of flashlight. In their spare time they came up with the idea of inventing a new kind of lightweight, waterproof flashlight that would be made of aluminum and contain a recessed switch to prevent accidental activation. Shortly after, the two Massachusetts police officers found themselves at their precinct introducing their fellow police officers to their latest invention.
Their innovative and flawless white light flashlights – which come in various sizes and weights – are used to temporarily blind and disorient a suspect or attacker, providing police officers and citizens throughout the United States the safety they desire. The company only manufactures tactical LED flashlights with the latest Luxeon® LED and EMP chip technology, as older LED and incandescent lighting technology cannot compare. The flashlights are made from milled aircraft aluminum, making them significantly lighter and easier to handle. They have a unique three-sided body for an ergonomic grip, with a front “Tri-Strike crown” and rear “Tri-Strike crown” for maximum impact for pressure point and weapon retention techniques.
Compared to an ordinary flashlight, the Brite-Strike beam is a brilliant white light with a wider spread for flood effect. This results in an entire area of a vehicle on a stop being illuminated, and allows the officer to quickly look for weapons, drugs, or someone trying to hide inside a vehicle. If a police officer is attacked, the white light has the capacity to temporarily blind and disorient a subject during a hostile situation. With a quick click of the end cap switch the light switches to a low setting for use as a normal flashlight. The end cap switch is flush, preventing accidental power switching from on to off.
