Company Profile: China Nuvo Solar Energy, Inc. (CNUV.OB)

Tuesday, July 22nd, 2008

China Nuvo Solar Energy, Inc. is a development stage company with a patent-pending solar technology which it hopes to develop into a commercially viable, high-efficiency stacked photovoltaic (PV) solar cell for use in solar arrays and other energy-related applications.

This technology devolves around integral light-transmitting particles which act as wave guides in a ceramic sleeve within a stacked array of solar cells, allowing the sun-exposed conversion area of the cell to be shifted (from horizontal to vertical, for example) to capture more sunlight. This means less exposed surface area is necessary to generate electricity, resulting in smaller solar cells with greater output. In addition, the ceramic sleeve eliminates the need for expensive vacuum chambers, promoting the use of less expensive materials and therefore cheaper production costs.

China Nuvo Solar has further minimized costs by signing an agreement with Pioneer Materials, Inc. (PMI), a supplier of advanced materials for thin-film PV processing for optical recording, to set up a pilot production line by modifying their existing manufacturing facility located in the Chengdu West High Tech Development Zone in Chengdu, Sichuan, China.

Under the terms of the agreement, PMI, which has its headquarters in Torrance, California, and other manufacturing operations in Taiwan, will develop, test and manufacture prototypes based on China Nuvo Solar’s patented technology. After completion of a successful prototype, China Nuvo Solar will enter into strategic agreements with, or acquire, companies in the same vertical market to help them implement their business strategy of delivering affordable solar energy.

Using this superior technology – acquired as exclusive worldwide rights via a purchase from, Inc. in 2008 – China Nuvo Solar plans to manufacture and market solar cells and solar-powered products for a wide range of applications. Since the technology incorporates a process that makes batch manufacturing practical, the cost savings of outsourcing production are evident. The technology also allows for multiple configurations of solar cells, which further reduces shipping and storage costs, as well as the cost of deploying large solar arrays.

Solar energy offers a clean, safe, environmentally friendly source of electricity to an energy-starved world. With energy experts predicting a worldwide growth in energy needs to more than 71 percent by 2030, and fossil fuels becoming increasingly expensive and difficult to extract, China Nuvo Solar is positioned to capture a significant share of a future market that may provide that essential energy.

China Nuvo Solar Energy, Inc. (CNUV.OB) designs and plans to manufacture solar photovoltaic (PV) cell technology products. Even though they are still in the development stage, the Company holds the exclusive rights to a unique solar cell technology based on photovoltaic cells with essential light-transmitting wave guides in a ceramic sleeve.

China Nuvo’s technology is unique in that less exposed surface area is required to generate electricity. More sunlight is captured due to the light-transmitting particles that act as wave guides and allow the sun-exposed conversion area of the solar cell to be shifted readily from horizontal to vertical. Additionally, the ceramic sleeve eliminates any need for expensive vacuum chambers. This in turn decreases the cost of materials needed in solar cell production.

The Company’s light-trapping technology has been show to be more beneficial when compared to conventional solar energy technologies. In December 2007, China Nuvo entered into an agreement with Pioneer Materials, Inc. (PMI). This collaboration and development agreement will establish a pilot development and manufacturing operation in PMI’s existing facility in China.

China Nuvo Solar Energy, Inc. (CNUV.OB) Teams up with Pioneer Materials, Inc. to Continue Solar Cell Technology Development

Wednesday, December 12th, 2007

With skyrocketing energy prices, and the worldwide march for green energy moves forward, solar cell technology is gaining popularity as homeowners and business look for ways to save both mother-nature and a little cash. China Nuvo Solar Energy, Inc. (OTCBB: CNUV) focuses on the development and manufacturing of solar cell technology products, and holds the rights to a technology relating to a multiple stacked solar cell using wave guide transfers.

The company recently announced it has finalized a Collaboration and Development Agreement with Pioneer Materials, Inc. (PMI). Per the agreement, PMI will build equip, operate and manage the product development, testing and manufacturing prototypes of solar energy products for China Nuvo. To carry this out, PMI will use China Nuvo’s equipment and technology which it obtained under a license agreement entitled “Photovoltaic cell with integral light transmitting waveguide in a ceramic sleeve.”

It’s quite a mouthful, but what it means is that China Nuvo will pay PMI monthly to provide the facilities, staffing and other support for one year. According to terms of the agreement, PMI may receive up to 4 million shares of China Nuvo common stock as certain goals and cornerstones are met.
