He is a graduate of the University of Science and Technology of China, holds a Master’s degree from the Shanghai Second Medical University, and has a PhD from the University of Arizona. He also served as a research scientist, Assistant Professor, and Lab Director at the University Of Minnesota School Of Medicine from 1997 to 2000.
