Sibling Group Holdings, Inc. (SIBE) Leveraging Acquired Platforms & Partnerships to Maximize Penetration across All Education Market

SIBE

Sibling Group is making serious headway in the rapidly expanding and constantly changing $4.4 trillion global education market, signing numerous partnerships that help farm-out their Blended Schools Network (BSN) platform, which serves the K-12 market (roughly $788 billion industry in the U.S. alone) via a full-spectrum online curriculum and comes complete with hosted course authoring tools, as well as a feature-rich learning management system (LMS) environment. Investors should take note of small companies with the potential to streamline the education market the way Starbucks streamlined the coffee house market, as there could be huge opportunities for massive consolidation due to the disruptive potential of distributed education over the coming years.

The company’s primary growth strategy involves cross marketing their already acquired platforms and technologies in order to maximize market penetration across all segments of the education space, from Pre-K to corporate e-learning and professional development. The Urban Planet Media & Entertainment Corp., Urban Planet Mobile™ (UPM) education software platform, which serves the international market for English language studies, is central to the company’s primary growth strategy. SIBE has already made significant strides cross marketing BSN to the international market via UPM, and bringing the superb English language study architecture of UPM back home to hungry ESL and even EFL (English as a Second/First Language) U.S. markets.

Similarly, the company’s growth strategy emphasizes targeted acquisitions of other companies and education systems that can help finish the construction of a truly 21st century, complete learning platform, which will give SIBE the ability to gain a strong foothold across even Pre-K, corporate e-learning, and higher education markets. SIBE emphasizes acquiring companies with the ability to rapidly expand due to their ability to provide a unique set of content that helps people learn, or due to a unique set of technologies which leverage that content into a much greater market share. The final, and perhaps most compelling aspect of the company’s growth strategy where investors are concerned, is the formation of industry partnerships that greatly extend the reach of their acquired content, platforms, and technologies.

SIBE President, Dave Saba, commented in a recent interview with The Stock Radio, how he has been blown away by receptivity to the BSN product’s national rollout, calling the response unprecedented compared to anything he has seen in his 15 years plus presence in the market. Noting in particular how the company’s BSN division has signed key partnerships with the likes of School Improvement Network, which is working on developing their personalized learning (PL) focused, student-centered learning product, GAGE. The GAGE system is a first-of-its-kind, comprehensive PL solution that uses a dynamic digital teaching and learning platform to support PL in any school or system, thus providing all the prerequisites for transforming a traditional school or district into a personalized learning environment.

GAGE, combined with the substantial BSN library of online lessons, constitutes a fully bridged solution, spanning both virtual and physical media, and allowing for meaningful peer-to-peer interaction, as well as engagement of students at any level of education. Such a fusion allows for mastery-based learning that is fully supported by a suite of real-time professional development resources which educators can make use of. This unique fusion platform is also supported by a complete tool kit for students to monitor their own progress and help them organize/prioritize tasks, and it is all situated within a community-oriented framework that supports both teachers and students as being learners within a single educational ecosystem.

Furthermore, BSN integration with the Blackboard teaching and learning environment, subsequent to the company’s having joined the Blackboard Partnerships™ Program as a Blackboard Signature Partner™, makes all the BSN course content available in districts/schools already using Blackboard’s teaching and learning environment. Another recent partnership, with BloomBoard, Inc., which has devised a powerful platform for teachers and administrators to roadmap their own professional development, has BSN acting as a key provider in the online professional development resource library maintained by BloomBoard. This partnership in particular gives SIBE a firm handle on the professional development (PD) market and exploits the BSN’s PD suite, originally created to support K-12 teachers and administrators, in order to provide enhanced reach to aspects of BloomBoard, like the ability to conduct observations that are connected to the resource library, allowing for highly personalized PD recommendations.

By partnering with multiple national players that have such considerable market reach, SIBE is setting themselves up for great success with the BSN content platform and creating a variety of easily accessible new market outlets for the content.
